Watching porn is like going to a butcher shop

The pornography industry is a butcher shop, that’s why. (Part one)

Pornographic videos are created and viewed in disarming quantities. If you decided to watch every video on Pornhub published to date, it would take 173 years, more than 1.5 million hours of content. This industry comes out with annual revenue of billions of dollars, one of the main reasons why young girls run away from home and join this world. They don’t know what awaits them around the corner. Having sex in front of a video camera doesn’t seem demanding, one of the fastest ways ever to make easy money. Over the years the rate of population watching porn increases and the average age decreases, men in particular have become desensitized, thus starving for an increasingly raw and violent type of sex. What is forgotten in front of those videos where the most macabre perversions become reality, is that that image was not created inside a head, there is a woman in flesh and blood behind that screen. You can find millions of stories of girls that tell of experiences of abuse and violence on the set. Sometimes they are not notified of what they will shoot that day, other times they are given a word of safety in case it becomes too intense, but which is punctually ignored when they are shooting, and they are not even counted the times they are you were forced to have sex without a condom, with a sexually transmitted disease attached as a gift. We could talk about the drugs that these girls are forced to take both “voluntarily” to try to survive this grueling job, and involuntarily. If women decide to leave the industry, they are persecuted forever by the ghost of their past, making their integration into the world of work impossible.

To conclude, these girls are not protected before, during or after. We want feminist porn because we want safe porn, not made by female cattle.
